Halfways
We are halfway through the year; in Denmark, we celebrate the turning point by making bonfires and singing traditional songs. It is a time of transition, on being on the way from a beginning to an end – and yet another beginning. We meet people on their journey, at a midpoint between two destinations. We meet the emperor on his way to becoming the fool. We experience the strange intertwining between birds and humans. And we see the mighty power of the universe, where day meets night in perfect harmony on the equinox, marking the greatest transition of them all.
