Summer lingered this year, but now autumn has arrived - with darkness, wind, and plenty of rain. Yet while the sky is grey, the trees glow in reds and yellows, and when the sun makes a rare appearance, it brings a beautiful light and long shadows. Most of the images in this print collection were created with autumn in mind — whether capturing the intricate balance of cold and beauty, the cityscapes, the rain and wind, or simply the overall mood of the season.

I hope you enjoy the collection!

Autumn Lights

Cat's Cradle

The children's game Cat's Cradle, where you weave strings around your fingers in complex patterns, also serves as a metaphor for everything that's complicated and hard to navigate. The main figure in this image expresses a cat's cradle of emotions - while also, of course, acting as a literal cradle for a cat.

View from the Top

As many of you know, the meeting between nature and human-made landscapes is one of my favorite themes. In this piece, the cat acts as the missing link between nature and culture; for once, it doesn't dominate the scene - the birds are the ones who truly hold the view from the top.

Shelter

The woman offers the cat shelter from a never-ending rain. I've chosen a naive style, as though this were an illustration from a children's story. I believe this approach captures the simple, childlike joy of sharing.

Misty Alley

I grew up in Copenhagen, and the way the city's light reflects in the sky on a dark, rainy night is something very special to me. There's no deep symbolism at stake here - it's simply a personal interpretation of my memory of the city lights at night.

Celeste

Is this a fish out of water or a girl beneath the surface? Celeste means "heavenly," but the blue void they find themselves in could just as easily be the deep ocean -

either way, there's something fishy about this situation.

The Red Cottage

Is the red cottage on the edge of the sea an intruder in nature – or is nature trying to get rid of it, taking bites from the beach, edging closer inch by inch? I like the duality in the picture and working with the meeting between manmade structures and natural landscapes.

Cliffside Catch (The Great Escape)

Some people use fishing as an escape from their daily problems – but the whale in this picture is busy with its own great escape. This fun and lighthearted picture is one of my favourites – it tells a lot of stories. Maybe you see them too?

Off the Hook

With "Off the Hook," I aimed to capture a classic fishing scene, but with a subtle, playful twist. There's no hook on the fishing line. Yet, the missing hook does not mean that his patience and hard work getting there is futile – he is alone, at peace, freed of the responsibility of watching over the fishing pole. Underneath a fish is looking puzzled, but content. The old man and the fish share the same feeling – they are both off the hook, for now.
