A DIFFERENT LIGHT
It’s easy to get stuck in your initial perception of a situation, an image, or a way of thinking. But sometimes, it helps to see things from a different perspective. In this series, I have explored perceptions, light, and colors, playing with contrasts between the ordinary and the unexpected. Enjoy!

Birds of a Feather

When these three girls appeared on my screen, I immediately felt a connection. They might be birds of a feather, but they are still different - in style, in the way they look, and of course in the birds, which are either alive or just a piece of their clothing. I am very happy with how this turned out.

Together
There’s a classic, almost Renaissance feel to this picture. The girl is sending a longing look at something outside the picture, while the bird is kept from flying away.

Top of the world
There’s something surreal about this picture. At first glance, it’s just a building on a greyish day, but you soon discover the strange situation on the roof - what’s the story here?

Shelter
It’s like a scene from a fairytale. The small girl, barefoot, in simple clothes, seeking shelter in a strange place. In the end all will turn out well for our small heroine - all fairytales have a happy end.

Golden hue
There’s a lot of beauty in the simple things that we all can enjoy, regardless of age, wealth and health. A sunset, for example, can be breathtaking, when it paints the sky in a golden hue and outshines everything man is able to create.

Streetlight
The soft glow of the streetlamp keeps the darkness at bay, as she shelters under the umbrella. I am very fond of the movie-frame quality of this picture - a small scene from what is probably a larger story.

Title and text will follow soon

Coming home

The sea is calm when he arrives at the city at the shore. The lights in the windows welcome the sailor as he travels the last distance to where he belongs. He’s coming home.

Under the moon

As a lot of you know, I often work with the meeting of nature and culture. Sometimes the motifs are dramatic, but in this one, I have sought to create a feeling of tranquility. The town is nearby, but the sails have not been set. He is alone at sea, but not lonely.
